As i had indicated earlier, I spoke with my employer, he cannot do anything in terms of lobbying - but has agreed to do things. He will donate to IV and he will write a letter stating that small businesses like ours need to be able to fully utilize the capabilities of the employers...and it helps to have the green card.
Not sure who the letter needs to be addressed to, any suggestions would be helpful.

Here's my exact situation:
- My employer is company A
- I am assigned by Company A to Company B (corp-to-corp)
- Company B assigned me to Client X
- I want to move to Company Z
- Company Z would assign me to the same Client X
My non-compete clause says something like... Employee(I) cannot work to client of Company A within 1 year of leaving Company A
Now, is client X considered as client of company A? I'm thinking that company B is the client of company A. Thus, it should be okay if I move to company Z and be assigned to client X.
Any thoughts?

My friend while leaving US he did not surrender the I-94 card. Actually he forgot it at home and the airlines allowed him to board plane without surrendering I-94. What should he do now? Guru's does any one have any experience with such situation? Please help

I am from India having masters in engineering and i have 9 years IT experience. Ofcourse my Lawyer filed in EB3 (in 2003) thinking that PD will be current in future. Now i140 cleared in EB3 . What next? Since i am in consulting company i don't have any problem sticking to company. Only problem is maintaining status. As long as i am in job no problem. Who knows market will be like this. I am just re thinking to go for EB2 filing. But not sure how many were able to clear Eb2 in PERM.How much salary required ? (My company located in Detroit).

If you file 485 based on your previous approved 140, you are compelled to go back to your previous employer when your GC is approved.
So the options you have are:
1. File 485 based on previously approved 140. If approved within 180 days, go back to previous employer otherwise use AC21 to change employer to current employer. This presumes that your former employer is willing to continue support of your GC.
2. You could file 485 based on unapproved 140 since concurrent filing is still allowed.
The choice is yours.

It is still not very clear if working with companies like TekSystems on EAD is fine using AC-21.

My case was very similar in last November, I did call them many times...but same old answer. but in last month they told me they did not work on my case because my fiinger prints were expired. they expire every 15 months, and without valid FP , case even will not pass standard "filter" criteria, and they don't consider it "ready to approve"
Looks like you sent your 485 on Jul 2007, assume your first FP was done before Aug 2007? if yes, it's expired. By any chance, did you do your 2nd FP?

USCIS has issued revised instructions for USCIS Form I-131, Application for Travel Document. The instructions include changes effective March 5, 2008 that require applicants for re-entry permits and refugee travel documents to provide biometrics (e.g., fingerprints and photographs) at a USCIS Application Support Center (ASC) for background and security checks and to meet requirements for secure travel and entry documents containing biometric identifiers.
Q. May an I-131 applicant for a re-entry permit or refugee travel document complete biometrics outside of the United States?
A. Form I-131 instructions provide guidance for certain persons who are abroad at the time of filing to visit a U.S. Embassy or consulate for fingerprinting, although all applicants are urged to file before leaving the United States. Since certain overseas offices have the discretion to accept and adjudicate applications for refugee travel documents, although it is not mandatory that they do so, an applicant for a refugee travel document may complete biometrics outside of the United States, but is encouraged to wait to travel until his or her biometrics have been collected and the document delivered. As discussed earlier, certain overseas USCIS offices may, in their discretion, adjudicate Form I-131 filed for a refugee travel document (but not re-entry permits), where the applicant has failed to apply while in the U.S. (see 8 C.F.R. � 223.2(b)(2)(ii)). However, applicants for refugee travel documents should not count on the overseas offices necessarily agreeing to adjudicate Form I-131 in all cases, particularly where it is evident that the individual could have applied while in the U.S. and attended his or her biometrics appointment. The folks who strongly feel that IV should be mentioned should write an email to OH and ask him to change the wording to include IV in it.
On a positive note, there is extra publicity for the flower campaign. On a flip side, if IV was linked to this post, we would had some more people flow into this website and possible new members and campaigners.
Finally, as to why he didnt put IV name - being an active reader the past few days of these posts, I've my reasons to understand the possible reasons but since this thread isnt about the why or why not - I'd like to keep this thread to the point of send flower campaign and how we can make it more effective.
Lets send emails to him and of course, in a nicely worded request to include IV and most importantly a link to IV on his website.

Fingerprint done, EAD obtained in 2/03
Application withdrawn by spouse due to conviction
Second I-485 applied by my 2nd DW in 7/05
Interview granted in 5/06
Case still pending due name check
GC? till date
Anyone with a similar case and any advice on this case? I've spent about 30K USD on this case on Lawyers and still have NOT got any decision from the USCIS. Now , I'm considering filing a WOM. Whats your take on this? Thanks !

You can always ask for a copy of the approval after the I-140 is approved. Depends on how cooperative your HR and lawyer are.

A couple more from the job finish today. I liked the backdrop - looks like ricepaper, which really pleased the Japanese-born client. This was taken vertically. I hung the wreath with a thread and then cloned it out :) I wasn't really happy with the backdrop lighting in the second one. Guess I need to invest in some lights. I used natural light from the right and a reflector card on the left of the subject.
