How many years of years of W-2 form copies do we need to attach, when we file I-485 applications?
The more the better. Maybe you don't need to file them at all but rather than risk getting an RFE later, send them as much info as possible.
I sent all my W2 and tax returns since 7 years back...
An RFE shouldn't be too bad, you just waste a week or so. You'll be ok in any case.

Are all these paper based filings or e-filings?
I e-filed EAD/AP renewals on May 25th, 2009. Applications are at TSC. My AP got approved on June 19th and I received the AP documents on June 20th. However, my EAD application is still pending since May 25th. I think most, if not all, EAD e-files receive a FP notice and they take a picture as well as FP when we go to the ASC. I haven't received FP notice either so far. From what I am seeing, EAD paper based filing is being processed much faster (2-3 weeks) than e-filings. Anyone who e-filed EAD could pls let us know how long it took for FP notice and EAD approval.

but my Card Production was Ordered on 11/12
I still went ahead and gave my FP on 11/13.

I have a dumb question, do they finger print you( similar to non-immigrant category) when you enter using AP?

With the USCIS recent notice on mandatory TB-test unless supported by a valid explanation by the Civil Surgeon, I feel it is a clear invitation for a RFE (one of the most common. Search past RFE's and you will be amazed to find how common this is!)

I don't think day trading affects your H1B. It will be shown under capital gain/loss on your tax return. We can have CDs then why not profit through stocks.

The Gandhi's philosophy indicates the peaceful protest against obvious injustice. The USCIS/DOS decision to stop accepting I 485 from July 2 was the obvious injustice due to couple of reasons; First, it is un precedent and legally not right to stop accepting I 485 when they made big weekend rush to use all visa. Second, No one can suddenly on and off as thousands of people preparing stuff in advance based on the visa bulletin.
We can not use Gandhigiri for increasing visa number or expediting their immigration process. We can only request. it is not our right hence sending flower to PERM agency is not a good idea. Brahmastra (ultimate weapon) can be used at appropriate time only!

Hi guys,
Is there anyway somebody can give me an advice what to do?
My first H1B was issued in December 2000, then I changed employer 2 times and joined my current company in January of 2005. My current employer got my visa transferred and new visa was issued till April 2006. In March my employer sent another petition for H1B extension and this petition was approved in June 2006 and it says its valid till October 2008. It means totally I can stay on H1B almost 8 years? It seems to me its some sort of clerical mistake and I am not sure that I do not violate any immigration law staying here.
Here is another thing that confuses me even more. My current employer started my GC on EB3 though. In January 2006 the employer filed I140 that has been approved May 15 2006. Even though, we did not file any additional requests (I heard I can extend H1B for 3 years with approved 140) I am wondering if USCIS figured it by themselves when they were approving my H1B petition.
Recently I have got decent job offer from another employer that willing to transfer my H1B and start my GC from the beginning. Will it be a huge risk to accept this job offer?
I am sorry for asking it here. We do not have a layer for GC procedure. I was trying to find one that can clarify my situation but layers who I found did not want to give me a legal advice even I was ready to pay for it. They were demanding $1000 retainer prior any work done.

First check with the school if they will allow you to attend on EAD. I'll like to know what you finally decide. I was in a similar situation 3 yrs back and decided to go part-time instead. Finished the program and my gc is still pending :(

I also have soft LUD on 09/26 and 09/29...But i dont know what to read into it.
I did have a LUD on 09/05 and 09/08 and then RFE was issued. Responded to the RFE on 09/22 . LUD on 09/22, 09/23 ,09/29 and 09/30.
